Since 1972, GABEE has existed to promote the high quality teaching and learning of business, economics, finance, and entrepreneurship.

Originally founded as the Georgia Association of Economics and Finance (GAEF), the organizers envisioned the Association providing opportunity for enhanced communications, understanding, and dissemination of information related to the finance and economic professions, particularly as it relates to the teaching/learning environment. And we have stayed true to this vision over the years.

In #### GAEF assumed a broader view of the educational landscape and incorporated general Business and Entrepreneurship education into its mission. Since then, we have striven to be a stalwart of scholarly, professional, and pedagogical information in those fields.

Over the years, members have also provided support for K-12 Economic Education programs throughout the state.

Our mission today can be simply stated as the dissemination of knowledge between higher-ed instructors, industry professionals, and to the broader society.
